We love reading blogs and websites that help move us forward. Below are the 10 blogs and websites that you need to follow.

Whether we’re writing, reading, or listening, media and content sites have a way of affecting us. It calms, it amuses, it excites, but mostly it just gets us out of our own heads.

So it’s no wonder, we love reading blogs and websites that help move us forward. Below are just a few of my favourites. If you aren’t on these already – these are the 10 blogs and website that you need to follow.

Why we love this site: Aside from having more control and more options for optimization, Chloe Digital is one of the reasons I switched my blog over from Blogger to WordPress. Curated by “fashion technologist,” Chloe Watts, Chloe Digital is a full-service strategy, support, and technology provider to top-of-the-line fashion bloggers.

Even if your blog doesn’t have a fashion or beauty focus, this is a great blog to follow for all the tips, tricks, lessons and how-to’s that will save you time trying to figure out the tech part of running a successful blog on WordPress.

Why we love this site: Many bloggers try, but few are really successful in merging their existing fashion & beauty brand with their new platform of educational tools and content.

We just love that Mattie James has been able to seamlessly combine the two without skipping beat. At its core, Mattieology is a fun and fearless fashion & beauty blog. But come for the fashion ─ stay for Mattie’s weekly podcasts series where she shows us in a real-girl way, how to earn a living (and have fun) from blogging.

From how to work with brands and setting up your newsletter, to writing better social copy and monetizing your blog, Mattie shares all the lessons she’s learned on her rise to becoming a successful blogger. She continues to deliver stylish and glamorous fashion and beauty looks, while also publishing great how-to’s and tips for being a better blogger.

Why we love this site: We actually just discovered this blog and I must say ─ “where has Rekitan Nicole been all my life?!” Over here at See Girl Work – we love really love bright, bold colours and typography, and Rekita doesn’t disappoint.

She shows us that you can be creative, whimsical and sassy all while being a genius at CSS and HTML. She specializes in Blogger, WordPress and Squarespace design and shares all her tips on how to make your platform beautiful and functional.

Why we love this site: Enocha Tellus has created a really sexy, stylish fashion blog. She does fur, leather, heels and lots of black ─ which I just can’t get enough of.  Both street style and totally chic, glam, Locks & Trinkets is my go-to style inspiration.

Why we love this channel: As beauty enthusiasts, sisters Tracey and Raquel Moore became known for their colourful and polished aesthetic. It only made sense for this dynamic duo to create their Youtube channel, Moore Beauty.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting these women and they are on the rise as digital entrepreneurs and budding beauty business moguls.

Tracey earned her Bachelor of Commerce – Marketing from Ryerson University, while Raquel is pursuing a Master’s degree in Nursing. Having only launched in 2014, Moore Beauty has already received over 28,000 views and over 4,000 subscribers with no plans of slowing down.

Why we love this site: So Sasha is a well-balanced lifestyle blog which covers Sasha’s daily musings as she shares her tips, tricks and everything that inspires her in fashion, beauty, fitness, food, art, design, health and wellness. Aside from being a self-proclaimed “fashion fanatic,” Sasha mixes luxe labels with budget finds, organic, clean eating cravings, and wanderlust diary entries.

Why we love this site: Created by Katrina Scott and Karena Dawn, Tone It Up is a fun, energetic, girlfriend-to-girlfriend approach to working out, eating healthy and being our best self. It’s a whole-body, whole-life way of being that starts with respecting our body and taking care of ourselves inside and out.

I’ve been watching Tone It Up workout videos for about 5 years now and it’s been so great to see the brand grow to include fitness videos, cookbooks, protein supplements, apparel and so much more! Katrina and Karena live and breathe Tone It Up. They are so honest and real – you just can’t fake being authentic these days.

Why we love this site: From the beginning, Well+Good launched as the premier lifestyle and news publication devoted to the wellness scene ─ and its chic lifestyle components. Created by two journalists ─ Alexia Brue and Melisse Gelula ─ Well+Good is known for its impeccable reporting and trend-spotting on the healthy living beat.

In four years, Well+Good has become the leading source of intel on boutique fitness and the juice industry, plus cutting-edge nutrition, natural beauty, and more.

Why we love this site: The Everygirl is the ultimate online resource helping shape the creative, career-driven woman to experience her life better lived. Whether it’s how to incorporate a little creativity into your day or motivating you to seek out your dream job, The Everygirl is a great site to browse to be inspired, but also to take action.

Why we love this site: Career Contessa’s mission is to encourage, facilitate and share stories, advice, and direction for real women, about work and life ─ balance. So whether you’re looking for inspiration from a successful woman in your field, to honest conversations about “taboo” subjects like salary and balancing kids and career, Career Contessa features the career stories of modern, educated, and influential women.
