Linking Lives to Care Campaign

Linking Lives to Care Campaign

ACCHO’S Linking Lives to Care

The African and Caribbean Council on HIV/AIDS in Ontario (ACCHO) partnered with See Girl Work to develop a series of dynamic and mobile-responsive landing pages for their new social media campaign, Linking Lives to Care.

This initiative aims to enhance HIV/AIDS awareness and provide essential resources to the African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) communities in Ontario. The project involves creating a central hub to support ACCHO’s advocacy efforts within the Black community.

We have successfully completed the first two landing pages, including a campaign overview page and an HIV Prevention page packed with resources such as textual information, statistical data, research findings, images, downloadable content, and videos.

The upcoming pages will continue to build on this foundation, with the third page launching in September and the final two pages scheduled for release next year.

Each page has been designed with a focus on usability and visual appeal, incorporating intuitive navigation and engaging design elements to effectively present a wide range of content.

  • High rates of HIV in the ACB community.
  • Need for clear, accessible information on HIV.
  • Ensuring the website is engaging, easy to navigate, and mobile-responsive.

  • Target Audience: ACB community in Ontario, especially immigrants.
  • Messaging: Simple, clear, and engaging content suitable for a grade 3 reading level.
  • Content Types: Text, statistical data, research findings, images, downloads, and videos.
  • Design Elements: Colour, iconography, photos, and video functionality to create a visually engaging platform.

Implementation

  • HIV Prevention Landing Page: The first pillar of the campaign, including a wealth of resources  and videos.
  • Upcoming Pages: Third page launching in September, with the final two pages going live next year.

Design and Development

  • Mobile-Responsive: Each page is crafted to be mobile-responsive with a focus on usability and visual appeal.
  • Intuitive Navigation: Ensuring visitors can effortlessly find the information they need.
  • Visual Engagement: Weaving together colour, iconography, layout, photography, and video functionality.

Results

  • Completion: First two pages completed; third page launching in September; final two pages going live next year.
  • Engagement: Increased engagement and awareness within the ACB community.
  • Impact: Improved access to vital HIV prevention, treatment, and care information.
