Reimagining Mooredale’s website with improved backend stability and a colourful, family-friendly design to support its growing community.
Mooredale has been serving families in Toronto’s Rosedale–Moore Park community for generations. Long before community centres became standard across North America, local residents were already organizing, fundraising, and envisioning a shared space for children, families, and young people to gather close to home.
When we began working with Mooredale on designing and developing a new website, the goal wasn’t to change what makes the organization special. It was to modernize the digital experience so it better reflects the strength of the community behind it.
Over the years, like many long-standing institutions, the website had accumulated layers — different environments, legacy systems, and structures that no longer served the team efficiently.
Our work focused on stabilizing the backend, streamlining access, and ensuring staff have greater control and confidence in managing their own platform. At the same time, we introduced a refreshed visual design — colourful, playful, and family-friendly — that better reflects the energy of Mooredale’s programs.
From sports leagues and seasonal programming to day camps and preschool offerings, the new site feels more aligned with the children, families, and community members it serves every day.
The result is an updated digital home that supports the organization’s programs, families, and future growth and aligns with the organization as it exists today.
Legacy institutions deserve digital systems that are as dependable as the communities they serve.
We’re proud to have played a small part in that next chapter.
