The Wengage App Doesn’t Want Women to Go it Alone

Wengage is a free social connection app for women where users can find their ideal company to go out, explore, travel or dine—rather than go it alone.

At some point in our lives we’ve all been there—wanting to try a new restaurant, a hot new vacation spot, go down to the ice skating rink or even catch the latest flick at the drive-in cinema.

But there’s a nagging voice that stops you. “I’d love to do that—if I only had company.”

Yeah sure, we’re fierce, independent women who are strong, fearless and autonomous. We know how to negotiate, raise capital and optimize the hell out of our a LinkedIn profile.

But it’s only human nature to want to connect with others, share in life’s experiences and immerse in the kind of joy that only the warmth of being in good company can provide.

“I was alone one evening in Whitehorse, Yukon,” explains Sandra Pellegrini.

“Knowing there were many European tourists in town, and having spent a year in Milan years earlier, I thought, ‘How great would it be to meet someone from Italy or Europe over dinner.’ ”

Like most entrepreneurs who become problem-solvers, she founded Wengage, a free social connection app, exclusively for women, where users can find their ideal company in the very moment they want to go out, explore, travel or dine—rather than go alone or miss out.

The app makes recommendations based on a woman’s preferences and experiences and, when she would like company to do something. It connects her to other women who share the same interests.

With the Wengage app, you can immediately see if another woman in your area wants to take in tonight’s ballgame, meet at an art exhibit, or go for a run along the waterfront.

No unanswered texts, or questioning whether or not your gal pal is there to see your invitation to chat—because the women whose profiles are visible on the app are also looking for company at the same time.

“When I started to share my idea for an app that would connect women to share an experience, I most often couldn’t finish a sentence. There was an immediate connection and women would say, ‘I know exactly what you mean,’ or ‘This is me. I want your app!’

I could fill pages with all of the moments described by women of all ages and from all walks of life,” shares Sandra, now the company’s CEO and Founder.

Wengage is also a great resource for information about current events, specific venues, influencer recommendations and articles of interest.

Real reviews of venues and attractions from from Wengage users, plus a team of trusted influencers are also included.  Users will even have access to exclusive offers and special events.

The app, launching in Summer 2019, is being developed by Canadian tech company, Myconxn Limited. A company that’s also woman-founded.

Become a Wengage Beta Tester!

If you’re a woman on the go, but have stayed in or avoided plans due to lack of good company, become a Wengage beta tester. The call for Beta testers will be open until June 1, 2019.

The company is inviting volunteers to help refine this new online community by testing out the app and providing constructive feedback.

Volunteers who are selected as part of the test group get access to contests, exclusive incentives and earn annual special rewards among other perks.
