Swansea Town Hall, located in Toronto’s lively High Park neighbourhood, is a hub for a diverse range of events, programs, and community activities. Despite its vibrant offerings, the community centre’s existing website was outdated and no longer aligned with its dynamic atmosphere.
The design felt stuck in the past, and the site was cumbersome to update, causing delays in sharing important event information and announcements. Additionally, the website lacked accessibility features, making it difficult for some users, particularly those with disabilities, to navigate and access essential content.
The team at Swansea Town Hall recognized the need for a website that better reflected their community’s energy and facilitated more effective communication. They needed a solution that would make it easy for staff to update content in real-time, without relying on external help, and ensure the site was accessible to all visitors. This is where See Girl Work came in.
The request was clear: they needed a modern, user-friendly website that could showcase the centre’s vibrant offerings, simplify content management, and meet accessibility standards, all while capturing the unique identity of Swansea Town Hall and making the site easy for everyone to use.
